NEW FOR 2022 Stained Glass Suncatcher Quickie
Not sure if you want to commit to a full workshop? Bring a friend and make a suncatcher each. Basic cutting, foiling and soldering skills introduced in this 2-hour workshop. All materials provided. Cost: $85 for two people.
Beginner’s Stained Glass Workshop
In this 12-hour, 4-week beginner’s workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of the copper foil method of stained glass. Class size is limited to two or sometimes three students, so you will receive lots of one-on-one attention. Cost: $250 per person.
Pattern Making Workshop
Are you ready to start creating your own one of a kind designs? In this 2-hour workshop, we will work together to explore the art of patterning for stained glass, discussing and identifying those dreaded impossible cuts and learning how to avoid hinge lines. The goal ... a beautiful pattern that will result in a structurally strong panel. Cost: $40
Have you already taken the beginner’s class or would like additional help with a specific skill? Then one-on-one targeted instruction is probably right for you. Bring your project and let’s work on it together. Cost: $20 per hour (supplies extra).
Still haven’t invested in tools of your own, or do you just need a place to work? Bring your project and come share my studio space. Bench space and basic tool rental: $10 an hour.
Beginner's Stained Glass Workshop
In this 12-hour beginner’s workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of the copper foil method of stained glass. Class size is limited to two or three students, so you will receive lots of one-on-one attention. For larger groups, please contact the studio. We will cover:
safety in the workshop
introduction to the tools of the trade
identifying different types of glass
scoring and cutting using hand tools
grinding and fitting
framing and finishing
The studio is on the Erie Canal so, weather permitting, we will enjoy the outdoors and do all of our soldering and finishing outside. This class is suited to students with little or no experience as well as those wanting to review the fundamentals. At the end of the workshop, you will have created a beautiful panel (up to 21 cut pieces of glass and 11”x17” in size) that you can hang in your home AND have the skills you need to create more pieces.
Choose the workshop time that best suits you:
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (over the span of 3 weeks)
Weeknights 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (1 night per week for 4 weeks)
Intensive weekend workshop 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (over 1 weekend)

Cost: $250 per person.
The cost of the workshop includes access to all of our tools and equipment, foil, solder and framing supplies. Glass is extra as the cost of glass can vary widely by colour and type. Once registered, you will be sent a PDF of 12 different patterns from which to choose. Glass will be selected on the first day of class.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, PayPal or in person with a credit card.
